Not sure where you live, but there's a dessert chain in the northeast called Rita's which serves something similar to what you are describing and they call it a gelati. It's soft custard-style ice cream on the bottom with Italian ice (basically a snow cone or slush) on top and topped with a little dab of ice cream for pretty. It's very good.What is the name of the snack which is a combination of a ice cream and snow cone?
I do not feel this was the best answer to my question.

That's interesting. We have something similar in the Italian community called a gelato. It's layers of Italian ice and soft ice cream.

It's called a ';stuffed snow cone.';
I only know of slushes and ice cream but they are good from DQ(Mister Misty Floats). Sorry I can't help you otherwise!
