russet potatoes, and kale. My gf is making me some Zuppa Tuscana and I just want to know where to buy her those ingredients. I lieve in the southern california area. I want to know specific stores, and things like that.Where can i get the following; Italian Sausage, garlic puree, bacon pieces, heavy cream, chicken bouillon,?
Adrian: You are a great guy to do this for your girlfriend and it is really quite easy!
For the Meat Items any grocery store with a butcher will solve your problem. Do not go to a Box Store for meat purchases such as WallMart etc.! All their meat is pre-prepared and shipped it. If you have a Albertsons that would be your best bet. If not: Buy Johnsonville Brats (Italian )and pull the meat out of the casing. Very Good! Bacon Bits: Buy a pound of sliced thick bacon and cut into small bits. (Fry, if you would already like to give them to her all ready to work with.)
For the Worlds Best Chicken Bouillon: Buy this Brand: Knorr (Caldo de Pollo). This is a chicken flavor bouillon and can be purchased in Spice Dept. or Mexican Isle of any grocery store. Wall Mart carries this item. (You can also buy it in Beef.)
Heavy Cream: This is easy. In the dairy dept. buy whipping cream. It comes in a pint or half pint. Do not whip it just pour it like regular cream.
Garlic Puree: This is a little more difficult and can be found in the speciality section of the cheese dept. (Sometimes in the produce dept.)
If you cannot find garlic puree: Peel Garlic cloves, and smash with a kitjchen knife and add to soft butter. (This can also be spread on garlic toast.
Adrian, WalMart is usually the best place to buy most of your items and the price is probably the lowest of all the stores. Please ask for help, because the clerks are there to help you!.
If you need anymore information, I would be glad to help. Ron (roncarlson@cableone.net)Where can i get the following; Italian Sausage, garlic puree, bacon pieces, heavy cream, chicken bouillon,?
Whole Foods, Albertsons
Any grocery market chain would carry these ingredients
Any Vons will have all those ingredients.. probably Ralphs too.
Walmart, vons....
Well, those are pretty basic ingredients. Any grocery store should have them.
All that should be available in your basic full service grocery store. I can't give you names b/c I don't know where you live. Even if I did know, I don't know what stores are there.
BUT!
Italian Sausage is in the meat aisle, either get the Johnsonville already packaged or from the butcher counter.
Garlic puree -- just buy some garlic and either grate it on a zester or use a garlic press.
bacon peices -- near italian sausage
Haeavy cream -- dairy section, near half and half
chicken bouillion -- on soup aisle, in glass or plastic jars w/ blue lid (Wyler's is one brand)
russet potatoes -- produce aisle; baking potatoes
kale -- produce aisle; stiff dark green lettuce-looking stuff
our local Food Lion carries all that except the garlic puree. They do have minced garlic though.
Walmart should have all that a nd if you dont see it ask. Sometime there stuff is in weird aisles.
Wal-mart.
is grocery store specific enough for you? there aren't any odd ingredients!
any grocery store should carry those things on your list
Just about any grocery store will have those ingredients. They are all pretty common stuff used in cooking.
There's nothing hugely unusual there.
Any decent-sized grocery store would stock that stuff; Safeway or similar.
Any grocery store in the entire world.
A sporting goods store.
Farmers Market (the Grove in LA)
Wally World...Duh! If y'all dont have one...I'm sorry
I would imagine that most grocery stores would carry them. None of the ingredients are particularly rare.
As for the garlic and bacon, if you can't find the pureed/cut up parts, buy the whole and do it yourself.
Any grocery store should have all of those ingredients.
Trader Joes, Ralphs, Vons?
