Is there a way to make chicken dumplings with cream of chicken instead of chicken broth?

I have chicken, cream of chicken, and dumpling mix.I dont want to have to go back out into town to get chicken broth and every recipe is telling me everything but cream of chicken. HELP!Is there a way to make chicken dumplings with cream of chicken instead of chicken broth?
sure you can i have done it, i just followed the recipe as it is or my own recipe....i use a little added chicken boulion and water to thin out the cream of chicken soup...( ive even used cream of brocoli soup or cream of mushroom soup)

( you can make your own broth if you have boulion, just make a cups worth if you have it)

chicken and dumplings comes out abit creamy anyway soo there is no reason not to tinker and try new things....

ive put my chicken and veggies in oven safe dish with the soup/little bit of broth that i made myself (optional of course) but just thin the cream soup a little then add your dumplings and bake as directed...

Enjoy!

Sure, you can use the cream of chicken soup, just pre-cook your dumplings in salted water, then add them into the soup that's been simmering with the chicken for a bit.
