Mayfield Snow Cream Ice Cream?

i was raised in kentucky, so i've always had a snowy winter.


which always had a tradition of making snow cream with my friends on a snow day. well, my parents had this crazy idea about 4 years ago, lets move to florida.


long story short, i'm missing home, and the traditions.


does anyone know where i can get mayfield snow cream in florida?


i guess since i can't have the home made kind, i'll settle.


something is better than nothing afterall.

I moved from NY to FL and I miss a lot a stuff, like White Castle's. So I tried to recreate them and it came out pretty good. Good enough to substitute anyway.





I don't think they sell the Mayfield online anywhere. If you're really desperate you can try to recreate the experience by getting an ice shavers to make your own ';snow';. I had one and it really makes snow-like shavings...very light and airy. Not the same snow and not the same milk, but you might be surprised. Here's the recipe in case you need it:





Snow Ice Cream





Ingredients


1 gallon snow


1 cup white sugar


1 tablespoon vanilla extract


2 cups milk





Directions


When it starts to snow, place a large, clean bowl outside to collect the flakes. When full, stir in sugar and vanilla to taste, then stir in just enough milk for the desired consistency. Serve at once.Mayfield Snow Cream Ice Cream?

No idea. But my mother from Oklahoma used to mix fresh snow with vanilla and sugar in a large pan to make hers. We were in So Cal and had to drive to the mountains to get snow. It made the trips a special ';snow day'; treat for us.

I know how you must feel because I came from Florida %26amp; am trying to get used to living in Hi. I miss Florida %26amp; Scotland. To make a long story short I was wondering where mayfield icecream came from.I miss the rocky road kind.
