How do you make snow ice cream? (Serious)?

Mom used to make it when I was a kid...we're in columbus ohio and in a level 2 snow emergency and 18 inches of snow. Mom isn't answering her phone and I wanted to share a treat with my fiance.

I know it involved milk and vanilla but as far as measurements or other ingredients I don't know

Thanks! How do you make snow ice cream? (Serious)?

Yummy!

I live in Louisiana where there's no snow... I wonder if I can still make it with shaved ice... hmmm....

Sounds yummy!!!! I have a 2 year old niece %26amp; 6 year old nephew and they'd LOVE making this!
I'm in Wheelersburg OH and we're getting slammed too but not to the extent you are!

My grandmother never measured you add sugar, vanilla and milk to your taste. You can't hardly mess it up, uh...unless you use yellow snow. lol
ah! im in cincinnati! thanks for posting this question,,,,ill be watching for answers because i want to know myself!!! we have about 15 inches right now and the snow is still coming down hard!!!! hopefully it will stay this way so i dont have school monday! hope you get some good answers
If it's snowing in your area, take advantage of all that white stuff with this recipe. It's a great way to get your toddler involved with nature and introduce him to cooking.

back in the fifties when i was a kid my great grandma would make this on the weekends for the two dozen or so of us grand kids, she would take her roasting pan out in the yard and fill it up with clean fluffy snow, inside she would add just a little cream, i guess you could use milk, powdered or confectioners sugar and vanilla, she just added a little and tried it and would add more if it needed more, and then a few drops of food coloring to make it more fun, she called it poor man's ice cream, i remember it being really good, i haven't had it since then though.........have fun
