My husband makes the best chicken pot pies using cream of mushroom and cream of chicken . Just take 1 can of each, mix it with a bag of frozen veggies, add cut up boiled chicken, and put in a pie shell. Bake it for about an hour on 350. Cover the rim of the pie shell with aluminum foil so it doesn't burn. Keep checking it to make sure it's not burning.

Can you substitute cream of mushroom soup for cream of chicken?
i have a recipe that calls for cream of mushroom soup. but i dont like mushrooms so i got cream of chicken will that workCan you substitute cream of mushroom soup for cream of chicken?
Yes, it will taste a little different but should work OK depending on what you are making. If you are making a casserole where it calls for the soup you will probably not notice a difference.
Only problem I would see is if you were making something that has beef in it and you would probably not want to put chicken flavored stuff in a casserole that calls for cream of mushroom soup.
I have had to make the substitution on the fly when was cooking dinner and did not have the cream of mushroom soup. Good Luck! Can you substitute cream of mushroom soup for cream of chicken?
Absolutely, that is how new recipes are born
As far as I'm concerned, recipes are just guide lines! You adjust however you'd like! My kids don't like mushrooms and one son is vegetarian, so we use a lot of Cream of celery or brocolli.
I'm like you - I don't like canned mushrooms, anyway. I always substitute with cream of chicken.
It'll probably give your recipe a different taste, but it should be okay.
yes indeed i use it alot with cooking.....
yes, any of the ';cream'; soups can be used instead of just the mushroom... I don't like the mushroom either, and usually use the chicken myself...
yes. I think it tastes great
As long as it is not a beef dish. It also ';tastes'; a little saltier, so if your recipe calls for adding salt, don't. Remember that the cream of chicken will look yellow, vs the off white of cream of mushroom.
Yes
I always do -- even for green bean cassarole - and no one has noticed yet
Yep. Or, if you want to use cream of celery, you can do that.
Yes they all have the same consistancy. If the flavor fits, it will be fine. I use celery instead of mushroom often.
yes, of course! that's part of being a cook, whether part-time or full-time--learn to try experiment with different ingredients :) happy cooking...
sure, if you don't mind a ';chickeny'; taste instead of a ';mushroomy'; taste.
spend the dollar, go to the store, and get cream of mushroom, especially if youre making green bean casserole.
it would totally change the taste of whatever you are cooking.... cream of mushroom has a very distinct flavor.... sure it might still work, but it just wouldn't taste the same......

Do you like barbecue? If you have any left over meat, put it in
a microwavable covered dish. pour plenty of barbecue sauce
over it and microwave it till it is steaming hot and the sauce has flavored the meat. Serve with a salad or what ever you like best. If you don't have left overs do the same with any kind of meat that you might have, just cook longer. Barbecued hamburgers , hot dogs. Me I like barbecued chicken! Bonn appetite!!
How about a nice salad. You could buy one of those salad mixes at the produce department of your grocery store and put in just about anything you like. You could make it hartier by putting in slices of ham, or shrimp. I love salads, the great thing is they fill you up, and help your figure look great too.
um do mean u want to cook somethin with that but how to disguise it or just something different cuz then i would say anything give them a corn dog or something. my mom used to give us that when i didnt want to eat what they were

Can I replace cream of mushroom with cream of chicken?
Im making a Tuna casserole. However, I want it to be a broccoli tuna noodle casserole. Im not a fan of cream of mushroom. All the recipes Im finding call for cream of Mushroom. Can I use Cream of chicken instead? Will it affect the taste much you think? Im also thinking of adding a can of Brocolli cheese as well...Can I replace cream of mushroom with cream of chicken?
Sure you can substitute pretty much any cream of soup. It will change the flavor slightly, but if you don't like mushrooms, no big deal. Can I replace cream of mushroom with cream of chicken?
Yes, you can substitute. The taste will change a bit and it will probably be more creamy, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Adding or substituting broccoli cheese soup will make it thinner (especially adding) but I'd encourage you to experiment - that's how some of the best recipes come about!
Mushrooms, generally, add an earthier flavor to a food but I have never found that cream of mushroom ever adds that earthier flavor.
Cream of Chicken should work just fine since it will be mildly flavored and the tuna in the dish should override the chicken flavor.
My wife and I replace the tuna in Tuna Helper with chicken and it turns out great.
Sure you can. Cream of brocolli might be good too.
I shouldn't make it taste ';off'; if that is what you are asking.
If it were me though, I would use the mushroom, you won't taste it at all if you add a pungent cheese topping to the casserole like grated Parmesan cheese.
it will probably affect the taste, it will taste like chicken not mushroom, but other than than, it shouldn't change it much.
instead of cream of chicken, which will affect the taste you could add cream of celery

Would anybody know of a recipe w/campbell's cream of chicken soup and chicken wings?
i have tons of cans of cream of chicken soup %26amp; tons of chicken wings (from costco)Would anybody know of a recipe w/campbell's cream of chicken soup and chicken wings?
There's crockpot chicken wing soup.
6 cups milk
3 cans condensed cream of chicken soup
(10 3/4 oz.) undiluted
3 cups shredded cooked chicken (about
1 lb.)
1 cup sour cream (8 oz.)
Combine all ingredients in a crockpot. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours. You can add about 1/4 cup of hot sauce for buffalo chicken wing soup.Would anybody know of a recipe w/campbell's cream of chicken soup and chicken wings?
Go to the Campbells website. They have tons of recipes using all their soups there.
yes, season the wings with salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
saute them in a lightly oiled skillet on both sides until brown.
pour in the can of soup, a small amount of water, some dried thyme, and some sliced onions and mushrooms.
put a lid on it and let it simmer on low heat until the gravy is smooth and the chicken is tender.
serve this dish with rice or mashed potatoes, a green salad, and dinner rolls.
Bake your chicken wings at about 350 in a casserole dish, for about 20 minutes, mix about 1/2 cup of milk with your cream of chicken soup, and pour over them, if you like a little spice add about 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of Cayenne pepper to the soup before you pour it over then bake for another 20 minutes. Serve with pasta, or mashed potato's.. yum!
If you have a slow cooker just throw them all in together with some herbs and cook on low for about 8 hours. Delicious.

I have some Chicken Breast strips, Cream of mushroom soup, and some bread crumbs. what can i do?
i have a few spices and some veggies. but otherwise im ver limited. can i make and thing interesting with these things?I have some Chicken Breast strips, Cream of mushroom soup, and some bread crumbs. what can i do?
Sprinkle some garlic powder and salt and pepper on the strips, egg and water wash the strips, little salt and pepper in the crumbs, dip the strips, saute in olive oil and butter, till just golden, then pour on the soup and a squeeze of fresh lemon or Realemon, and a sprinkle of nutmeg, simmer until done. Saute or steam in micro wave some veggies in butter salt and pepper. Pour the chicken and mushroom gravy over some cooked fetuccini or other pasta and chow down.
You don't always have to add spices to punch up everything....sometimes, simple flavors are VERY good too! Feel free to modify the recipe to exclude/include any or all the spices, mentioned or add some of your own, to give a totally different ethnic taste...such as oregano, or rosemary, etc.I have some Chicken Breast strips, Cream of mushroom soup, and some bread crumbs. what can i do?
I would make a chicken and broccoli/spinach bake. Flash-fry the chicken strips over a high heat for a minute or two. Steam the broccoli/spinach and any other veg you like. Mix the chicken and veg in a baking dish and pour the cream of mushroom soup over the top. You may want to dilute it with a bit of water/chicken stock if it's very concentrated/creamy. You can also add some paprika/cayenne pepper. Cover with foil and bake for half an hour. Then remove the foil and sprinkle with grated mozzarella and grill until the cheese is melted and getting brown.
use eggs, milk or mush soup to dip the chicken in, then roll them in the bread crumbs, fry or bake. take your veggies and put them in a pan (stove) or microwave (bowl) and add ab out a half inch of water and steam them. Heat the rest of mush soup and pour over chicken strips when done for a gravy, and veggies too if you desire. Yum

Just cook them together with salt and paper or individually.
Individually will make few dishes using various combinations.
You do need to invest in a good cook book or use Internet to look up the preparations.
Yum
